Hearts striker Mike Tullberg
Tullberg is yet to feature for Hearts since joining on loan

Striker Mike Tullberg has turned to physiotherapist Thomas Macon in a bid the solve the problem that has prevented him making his Hearts debut.

The 22-year-old Dane has been struggling with a thigh injury he suffered during pre-season.

He has now returned to his homeland to enlist the help of Macon, who also works with WBA supermiddleweight champion Mikkel Kessler.

Tullberg is not expected to be fit in time for next week's match at Falkirk.

"I am in the best possible hands," he told the Edinburgh club's website.

"Thomas is the best in the business and I have to thank Hearts for allowing me to return home to Denmark for treatment.

I hope to be back training with Hearts in the not-too-distant future, but it is a very frustrating time for me

"I want to help the club as much as possible, but I am not putting any pressure on myself as far as timings are concerned.

"What is certain, though, is that no-one can get me back quicker than Thomas. This is the best solution for me."

Tullberg, on loan from Reggina, is following a strict sugar-free diet in the hope it will help with his recovery.

"We are doing everything we can to get me back as fit as possible," he said.

"I hope to be back training with Hearts in the not-too-distant future, but it is a very frustrating time for me."
