Ivaskevicius departs Tynecastle

Kestutis Ivaskevicius has left Tynecastle to return to Kaunas

Kestutis Ivaskevicius has left Hearts to return to FBK Kaunas after the end of his loan spell at Tynecastle.

The 23-year-old Lithuanian midfielder has returned to his homeland after spending two seasons in the SPL with the Edinburgh club.

Hearts' sporting director Anatoly Korobochka said Ivaskevicius had been unable to hold down a first-team place.

"There was too much competition in his position. We wish him the best for the future," he told the club website.

Ivaskevicius made his Hearts debut in September 2006.
