Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a bid of £1.5m to prise Hearts captain Christophe Berra away from Tynecastle.
The Championship club have targeted the 23-year-old Scotland international defender after narrowly missing out on a play-off spot.
Berra's agent Gary MacKay told BBC Sport: "I don't expect any move for Christophe to be completed soon as he is now away on holiday.
"In any case, I expect that the offer from Wolves will be rejected."
Berra made his international debut for Scotland last week when he came on as a late substitute during the 3-1 defeat to the Czech Republic in Prague.
The player is thought to be keen on a move to England.
But, with Hearts still seeking a new manager, it seems unlikely that any transfer would take place until the club fill that position.
