Hearts defender Nerijus Barasa has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury.
Barasa will undergo surgery on his injured ankle
The Lithuanian, 28, ruptured his ankle ligaments in last month's defeat by Celtic and requires surgery.
Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas said Barasa would have an operation next week and faced at least three months on the sidelines.
"It's very unfortunate. He hasn't had much luck with injuries since he came to the club," he told Hearts' website.
Ivanauskas said: "His injury hasn't been improving very much so we feel an operation is the best way forward.
"He is due to have the surgery next week in England and then faces about 12 to 16 weeks out of action, which is obviously very bad luck for the player."
