New Hearts manager George Burley is to be reunited with chief scout Simon Hunt as he bids to attract much-needed fresh talent to Tynecastle.
Burley needs to strengthen his squad at Tynecastle
Hunt operated under Burley at both Ipswich and Derby and helped recruit players from all corners of Europe.
"There is no doubt that bringing players in is very important for the club so that is an area we will have to look at," Burley told the Evening News.
"He (Hunt) travelled internationally to find players and did a great job."
Hunt unearthed Spaniard Inigo Idiakez and Polish striker Grzegorz Rasiak at Pride Park, while he helped bring Pablo Counago and others to Portman Road.
Goalkeeping coach Malcolm Webster is also being tipped to join up with Burley, having worked at Ipswich and Derby.
Peter Latchford has been looking after the 'keepers at Hearts.
"The coaching structure is something I have to look at and assess the staff we have here already," added Burley.
"There is no doubt we need to bring some people in because we are quite thin on the ground, like the squad."
