Hartlepool boss Wadsworth demands side maintain form

Hartlepool United boss Mick Wadsworth has said his side must maintain their form after beating League One leaders Brighton on Saturday.

Wadsworth's side won 3-1 to halt the Seagulls' 13-match unbeaten run in the league, and face Vauxhall Motors in an FA Cup first round replay on Tuesday.

"We're ready for the game," he told the club website.

"You get a good result and enjoy it for a short while but fairly quickly you have to concentrate on the next game."

Pools have won just one match in their last six matches and despite the victory over Brighton, Wadsworth admitted he would not be sticking with the same side to face Vauxhall Motors.

"I'll make two or three changes but we'll be picking the team which we think can win this game," he said.

"Maybe some of the players [who played] against Brighton will be disappointed but we'll explain the reasons to them and get on with it.

"We know about Vauxhall Motors and how difficult it will be going to a non-League side in the FA Cup but I'm confident that we'll get the result."
