Pools boss happy with Dutch jaunt

Turner is confident the tour will be of benefit to his squad

Hartlepool United manager Chris Turner believes the calibre of his side's pre-season tour opponents will provide ideal preparation for the new season.

Turner's side are in the Netherlands for a training camp and have lined up matches against FC Volendam and SC Cambuur during their stay.

"The Holland trip is for team spirit reasons," he told BBC Tees.

"The games are immaterial but the opposition are two decent clubs in Dutch football."
