Former MK Dons boss Danny Wilson has been appointed manager of Hartlepool.
Wilson left MK Dons last month after their relegation to League Two
Wilson, who has also managed Barnsley, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday, was sacked by the Dons after their relegation to League Two last season.
The 46-year-old takes over from youth team coach Paul Stephenson, who filled in after Martin Scott left in February.
"Danny brings a wealth of experience. He has managed in the Premiership, Championship and League One," Pools director of sport Chris Turner said.
"Throughout the game, Danny is a highly thought of as an individual who has a great amount of contacts in the world of football.
"Bringing Danny to Victoria Park for me is a major step forward in getting the club heading back in the right direction.
"This clearly shows our intention and commitment to move forward by bringing a manager of Danny's experience and calibre here.
"We know that Danny will fit in here and bring out the best in our squad."
