Hamilton Accies have released Lucas Akins, Richie Hastings, Declan McAvoy, Gerry O'Connell, Tony Stevenson and David van Zanten.

Also, loan players Mickael Antoine-Curier, Brian Easton, Gary Inglis, Joel Thomas and James Wesolowski have returned to their parent clubs.

The Lanarkshire club is still in talks with Martin Canning, Derek Lyle, Trent McClenahan and ex-Celt Nicky Riley.

The quartet's contracts all expire during the summer.

In a busy period for Accies manager Billy Reid, all remaining players at the club have signed for next season.

Grant Evans put pen to paper on an extended deal on Wednesday afternoon, as did Under-19 duo Darren Dolan and Jordan McCue.

Under-19s Lee Kilday, Chris Roxburgh and David Hopkirk all signed extensions last week.
