Halifax Town boss Chris Wilder has warned midfielder Anthony Griffith that his disciplinary record may cost him a permanent deal at the Shay.
Griffiths, on loan from Doncaster, was sent off for a third time this season in Halifax's 2-0 win over Farsley.
The 21-year-old will now serve a five-match suspension.
"We were looking to take him permanently but I won't be now. I can't afford to keep losing him for several games," Wilder told his club website.
"I want them to compete but it is a ridiculous situation at the moment and he needs to think long and hard about it.".
