Nolan trains with Halifax
Halifax Town are to give former Northern Ireland international defender Ian Nolan the chance to earn a contract at The Shay.

Nolan is to train with Halifax as Town boss Chris Wilder is on the look-out for a new right-back following the departure of Alistair Asher.

"Ian will be coming in on Monday so we can have a look at him and check on his fitness.

"Obviously the right-back position is one that we are looking to resolve as quickly as possible," Wilder told the Halifax Evening Courier.

Nolan, 33, made almost 300 League appearances for Tranmere, Sheffield Wednesday, Bradford and Wigan before moving into the Nationwide Conference last season with Southport.
