Bracewell quits as Halifax boss
Paul Bracewell
Bracewell was appointed manager last October
Paul Bracewell has quit as manager of Halifax Town.

The former England international apparently made the decision after Monday's 2-0 home defeat against Oxford United.

Assistant manager Ritchie Barker has also parted company with the club, a press conference on Thursday morning revealed.

Bracewell joined Halifax in October last year, when they were bottom of the Third Division.

They secured their Football League status last season, finishing just two points above relegated Barnet.

But they have made a bad start to the new season, taking just four points from four games, including defeats in their past two fixtures.

This followed a run of five defeats in pre-season friendlies.

Tony Parkes and midfielder Neil Redfearn will take temporary charge ahead of the trip to York City on Saturday.
