Grimsby boss Graham Rodger has reinforced his striking options by signing teenage Southend striker James Lawson on a month's loan.
The 19-year-old has made just three appearances for Southend this season.
Meanwhile, also leaving Roots Hall on loan is 18-year-old winger Joel Ledgister, who will spend a month with Conference South side Lewes.
"We've six strikers here and we can't play them all," Shrimpers boss Steve Tilson told his club's website.
"Going to Grimsby will help toughen James up, and also give him the football he needs, so the loan move will be good for him and us."
