Grimsby sign goalkeeper
Grimsby have signed 18-year-old goalkeeper Bradley Hughes from Watford.
Hughes is one of five youth scholarship players signed by the Mariners and is viewed as a potential goalkeeping star of the future. The youngster played reserve and academy football at Watford and Grimsby youth team manager Neil Woods told the club's official website: "He came over on trial and did very well. "We've had some great reports on him from Watford. It was more a case of people in front of him there rather than his ability." Hughes will start in the club's reserves team but could be fast-tracked to the first team if he impresses. "He could end up being on the bench for the first few first-team games. But he should handle it," said Woods.
