Falconer joins Grimsby
In-form Grimsby Town have signed vastly experienced Scottish striker Willie Falconer to help their fight against the drop.

The 35-year-old has been released from his contract at St Johnstone and, after scoring for Grimsby's reserves on Wednesday, has agreed a short-term deal at Blundell Park.

Falconer, who has also played Celtic, Aberdeen, Motherwell and Dundee, was a team-mate of Grimsby's reserve-team boss Paul Wilkinson at Watford and Middlesbrough.

The Mariners have also moved to bring in Manchester City winger Terry Cooke on loan.

The 25-year-old former England Under-21 international comes in until the end of the season.
