Grays sign Eagles striker Thomas

Blue Square Premier strugglers Grays Athletic have signed Crystal Palace striker Simon Thomas on a one-month loan deal.

Thomas has played just once for Palace following his summer switch from Ryman Premier Division side Boreham Wood, where he scored 33 goals in 71 games.

The 24-year-old could make his debut for Grays against Rushden on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Athletic have cancelled defender Simon Downer's registration with immediate effect.
