Grays duo set for lengthy absence

Grays Athletic pair Jon Ashton and Jamie Taylor are set to miss the next few months through injury.

Defender Ashton, who has featured in eight of Grays' matches this season, is expected to be out until December after surgery on a detached retina.

It had been feared the 25-year-old's injury could sideline him for the rest of the season, but it is hoped he will return before the end of the year.

Striker Taylor has a broken foot, which may rule him out for up to five months.
