Grays re-sign ex-skipper Thurgood

Grays Athletic

Grays Athletic have re-signed their former captain Stuart Thurgood on a season-long loan deal from League Two side Gillingham.

Thurgood, 25, played under Gills boss Mark Stimson during his first spell at the Blue Square Premier club.

He followed Stimson to the New Recreation Ground in November 2007.

But he has struggled to break into the first team and was loaned back to the Essex side at the end of last season, he will now return for a third spell.
