Grays Athletic have signed former Leyton Orient midfielder Derek Duncan on a one-year contract.
The 20-year-old, who made just five first-team appearances for the O's last season, was one of six players recently released by Orient boss Martin Ling.
"I want to play first-team football and I wasn't getting too many chances," he told BBC Essex.
"I've been at Orient since I was nine but I see this as taking a step back to move forward."
Duncan also had a spell on loan at Conference South side Lewes last season.
Meanwhile, youth players Freddy Tandon, Danny Baigent, Jamie Nelson and Luke Woodward have been handed one-year contracts.
