Manager Liam Daish has warned Appiah to remain grounded
Ebbsfleet United's Kwesi Appiah was delighted to mark his home debut with a goal in the 2-0 win over Woking.
In just his second senior game, the 18-year-old scored with his first touch after coming on in the 55th minute.
The striker then set up Neil Barrett for the Fleet's second goal a minute later, and later hit the bar.
"I always dreamed of scoring my first goal with a volley from the halfway line but that will do," Appiah told BBC Radio Kent.
"Everyone's telling me to be patient. Now I had my chance and I have taken it. I would have remembered it a bit more had I won man of the match but that is a different story," he joked.
Fleet boss Liam Daish added: "His strength is his confidence. We've got to keep him on the ground a bit. He's not daunted by anything - he's brave, he's got pace, his feet are good and he can head the ball."
