Stone joins Charles at Ebbsfleet

Former Gillingham midfielder Craig Stone has become Ebbsfleet United's second new addition of the summer.

The arrival of the teenager, released by the Gills a month ago, follows hot on the heels of defender Darius Charles on a year-long loan from Brentford.

Stone, 19, who spent two months as a team-mate of Charles' at Brentford last season, made 20 Gills appearances.

Fleet boss Liam Daish said: "He comes with good reports, he's athletic. He's going to be a good addition."

Daish, who is due to welcome his players back to pre-season training at the beginning of next month, is also looking for another midfielder and a couple of strikers.
