Gravesend and Northfleet have completed the signing of experienced defender Paul McCarthy on an 18-month contract.
McCarthy in action last year for Oxford United
The 33-year-old has been a long time target for Gravesend boss Andy Ford, and joins from Hornchurch, who have been plagued by financial problems.
McCarthy played in over 400 League matches before he joined Hornchurch in the close season.
He played for Brighton, Wycombe and Oxford at centre-half prior to his move to the Essex club.
