Gravesend release trio
Gravesend & Northfleet boss Andy Ford has released three more players as he seeks to find the right formula for Conference survival.

Trio Dwayne Plummer, Jamie Coyle and Danny Lye all exited Stonebridge Road this week following the arrival of Gillingham duo Adrian Pennock and Ben White.

Plummer lasted one game - making his debut as a substitute against Margate last week, before leaving for Aylesbury.

Lye, a member of last season's Ryman Premier League title-winning side, has joined ground tenants Dartford.

Meanwhile, Coyle is reported to have signed for Sutton.

Ford, who is also checking out a central defender - Donal O'Sullivan - on trial, told the Gravesend Messenger: "It's all about balancing the books.

"We've signed two experienced players and had to let three go."

Fleet now have the weekend off as they are without a game.

Meanwhile, the club are ready to let Maidstone United play at Stonebridge Road should re-negotiations with Dartford over their three-year lodging agreement break down.

Homeless Stones are currently ground-sharing with Sittingbourne.
