Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson singled out on-loan midfielder Gary Mulligan for praise after the 1-1 draw with Tranmere at Priestfield.
Mulligan, 20, who has joined Gillingham on a month's loan from Sheffield United, came on as a second-half substitute to make his home debut.
Jepson said: "Gary Mulligan has a lovely work ethic.
"It is what you expect from a player coming from a Neil Warnock team. He came on and gave us more impetus."
