Gillingham chairman Paul Scally believes Chelsea nabbed their former junior Ryan Bertrand on the cheap.
Bertrand signed a scholarship with Chelsea after initially agreeing terms with Gillingham, who were awarded £125,000 compensation at a tribunal.
Scally said: "Chelsea offered £50,000 - £25,000 down and another £25,000 in six months time. If he plays 40 games then we will get another £400,000.
"But frankly if he plays 40 games then we should be getting £32m."
