Hodgson's Fulham are currently 18th in the Premier League
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson says he must be branded a failure if the club are relegated as he insisted he wants to remain in charge at Craven Cottage.
Former Fulham midfielder John Collins, who is currently out of work, has been linked with a return to the club.
Fulham have denied reports Hodgson was to take up a director of football role.
"I signed a contract and am not the kind of guy who walks out so, if they want me to stay then I will fulfill my contract," said Hodgson.
"It's not up to me. If the club want to get rid of me then they will do so."
Hodgson, who replaced the sacked Lawrie Sanchez in December - added: "If I'd only been interested in giving it a shot at keeping them up, then I wouldn't have signed to the end of next season.
