Fulham defender Zat Knight has been banned for three games by the Football Association after he was charged with violent conduct.
He was hit with an FA rap after appearing to headbutt Blackburn's Jon Stead in a 4-3 defeat on 12 April.
Referee Mike Dean did not see the incident and Stead recovered to score the winner in Blackburn's victory.
Blackburn boss Graeme Souness said afterwards: "Knight will not be proud of that. He should have been sent off."
Souness added: "The four officials were the only people in the stadium who did not see it.
"Knight was their biggest threat at set-pieces and their best defender so it could have cost us dear but we got away with it."
After the incident, Fulham boss Chris Coleman admitted Knight was guilty of wrongdoing.
"I think Zat put his head into Stead. He made contact with his head."
