Fulham to sell duo
![]() Hayles is surplus to requirements at Fulham
Fulham expect to offload Barry Hayles and Eddie Lewis in the next few days.
Premiership newcomers West Brom are keen on Hayles, 30, who is rated at £2m by the Cottagers. Fulham manager Jean Tigana tried to use Hayles as bait to sign Ipswich striker Marcus Bent last week, but the Suffolk side were not interested.
The 28-year-old made just one Premiership appearance for Fulham last season but impressed North End boss Craig Brown at the World Cup. Tigana hopes to use money from the sales of Hayles and Lewis to buy a left-back and striker from abroad.
The Cottagers want a new defender because of fitness doubts about 32-year-old Rufus Brevett, who made his comeback from a groin injury in Wednesday's 1-0 Intertoto Cup victory over Sochaux. Tigana hopes to make the signings before the transfer window closes on 31 August.
