Former Denmark international Bjarne Goldbaek fears being cast into the football wilderness when his current contract at Fulham expires in June.

The 33-year-old midfielder has yet to find a new employer after Fulham boss Jean Tigana decided against renewing his current deal.

"I'm not even close to signing a contract with another club," Goldbaek told a Danish newspaper.

"There's nothing definite on the table and there's nothing in the offing.

"I've talked a bit with some clubs in both Germany and England, but at the moment it's not come to anything.

"I haven't even had any offers from either FC Copenhagen or the other Danish clubs, but I am open to offers."

He remains hopeful that Tigana may have a change of heart so that he can extend his stay at Craven Cottage.

"I've spoken with Fulham but until now nothing has come of it, but in no way am I ruling anything out.
