Harley completes Fulham switch
John Harley
Harley is making the short move across west London
Fulham have completed the signing of Chelsea full-back Jon Harley for 3.5m after a medical.

The 21-year-old will join the squad preparing for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Alaves.

The player's switch across west London includes a 25% sell-on clause.

Fulham spokesman Sarah Brookes said: "We can confirm Jon Harley has passed his medical and is now a fully-fledged Fulham player."

The England Under-21 international is the latest big name to arrive at Craven Cottage.

Dutch goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has signed for 7m, along with Steed Malbranque and Abdeslam Ouaddou for a total of 6.5m.

Harley was frustrated by the competition for a first-team berth at Stamford Bridge, with both Graeme Le Saux and Celestine Babayaro ahead of him in the pecking order.

After winger Boudewijn Zenden joined last week, the Blues decided not to stand in Harley's way when he asked for a transfer.
