Gill has started nine Blue Square Premier games for Forest Green so far
Forest Green defender Jerry Gill has said he is enjoying his role as a player-coach.
The full-back, 38, is technically on loan from Cheltenham but the deal should be made permanent in January.
He told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "I feel good about myself, coaching and playing is hard and a big workload but I've really flourished on it.
"It's a good standard to be playing at, I feel good about my game and my performance, long may it continue."
It's been a little bit different, a little bit blood and thunder at times but we play football so I've adjusted to it now

Gill took over the role in October after being placed on the transfer list at Whaddon Road.
He added: "I suppose it's helped me that I've come from a League One club to - no disrespect - a Conference club, a couple of leagues down and maybe been able to get to the pace of things.
"It's been a little bit different, a little bit blood and thunder at times but we play football so I've adjusted to it now.
"I knew it would take me a few weeks to bed in to get used to the lads, the lads to get used to me as well and me and [Rovers boss] Jim Harvey - we'd had conversations but we hadn't known each other."
