Forest Green have upgraded striker Michael Symons' non-contract status and given the 22-year-old a full-time deal until the end of the season.
Jim Harvey's squad has been stretched this season, while Symons, who is a product of Hartpury College, has scored six times playing for Gloucester City.
"Michael has done really well in the reserves and in his short spell at Gloucester," said Harvey.
"He needs to now step up to the plate and show us he can improve even more."
Symons's new deal is the second development to the Forest Green squad this month after 19-year-old midfielder James Simpson was signed on a month-to-month contract.
