Bairns and Pars great Miller dies

Miller captained Falkirk and managed the club in the 1970s

Former Dunfermline and Falkirk manager George Miller has died, aged 69, following a battle with cancer.

Miller was born in Larkhall in May 1939 and started his senior career with Dunfermline in 1959, winning a Scottish Cup winner's medal in 1961.

He played with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Hearts before joining Falkirk and going on to captain the club.

Later in his career, he managed Dunfermline before taking the managerial reins at Brockville in 1976.
