Dutch defender Gerrard Aafjes will face former employers Ajax on Saturday as a Falkirk player after signing a one-year contract with the SPL club.
Gerrard Aafjes is expected to face Ajax at Falkirk Stadium
The 22-year-old, who started at the Ajax youth academy, impressed on trial after leaving Volendam this summer.
And he told the Scottish club's website: "I am happy to be here with Falkirk as they play good football."
Head coach John Hughes is also hopeful of signing up Aafjes' compatriot, midfielder Roel Buikema.
The 31-year-old, formerly of Den Bosch, also impressed during Falkirk's pre-season training camp in the Netherlands.
"There are some complications," said Hughes, who offered the player a one-year deal ahead of Saturday's friendly with Ajax at Falkirk Stadium. "It's his decision.
"He has a wife and a family to think about. However, we hope he will sign."
