Hughes refused to be downhearted after the defeat to Aberdeen

John Hughes was effusive in his praise of his Falkirk team, despite losing 2-1 at home to Aberdeen.
The Bairns boss said: "I felt the boys gave me everything - no-one will be going away from here believing that Aberdeen weren't well matched.
"Everyone can see the spirit we have here at this club.
"You can't win every week, but, if we keep playing like that and they keep giving me that, I can't say too much for them. I just feel for them."
Falkirk are now seven points behind sixth-placed Kilmarnock and a top-half finish now looks out of the question.
