Falkirk have re-signed four of their championship-winning squad but are awaiting an answer to offers made to four of their veterans.
Striker Andy Thomson, midfielders Neil Scally and Marc Twaddle, plus defender Andy Lawrie have been retained.
Midfielders John O'Neil, Scott MacKenzie and Craig McPherson, plus goalkeeper Allan Ferguson, have also been offered new one-year deals.
But former Clyde midfielder Colin Marshall is the latest to be released.
Defender Mark Campbell and midfielders John Henry, Phil Creaney, James Sharp and Brent Rahim had already been told they could leave.
Veteran coach Russell Latapy, fellow midfielders Ryan McStay and Darren Barr, plus strikers Darryl Duffy and Ian McSween are still under contract for next season.
