Tully planning management career

Tully looks back over his career

Exeter City defender Steve Tully has spoken of his wish to move permanently into football management at the end of his career.

The 29-year-old, who coaches the Exeter City Ladies team, told BBC Spotlight he is already planning ahead.

He said: "At the end of my career I am looking to go into coaching and I'm learning from the grassroots up.

"I feel I'm benefitting from every day training and learning from Paul [Tisdale] and Steve Perryman."

He continued: "Paul did his time at Team Bath, and I think that's a good way to start, so I just want to learn the basics before I progress."

In the meantime, Tully is enjoying life in League One with the Grecians, after spending most of his career in non-league football with Weymouth.

He said: "I think as a player you always want to play in as high a league as possible. I believe in my ability and I believe that I could play higher again."

The Grecians are away at Colchester United in League One on Saturday.
