Tisdale sees room for improvement

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has said it will take time for his players to adjust to life in League One.

The Grecians are yet to win in the league this season, picking up two draws alongside an opening-day defeat against Leeds.

"We've shown we're capable of competing which is a good starting point, but we haven't shown our best," Tisdale told BBC Devon.

City face a 700-mile round trip to Carlisle on Saturday.

"I'm not overly concerned or worried about our results so far, because I know it's part of the process of becoming a better-drilled team," he added.

"I have to be pragmatic about it and realise that we've had a decent start and been competitive in the first three games that we've played at this level.

"Honing your style as a team is part of the process, you don't do that in a game or in three games, it happens over a good half a season, and you have to believe that the process will get you the results in the end."

The Grecians drew 1-1 with Yeovil on Tuesday, with a superb second-half strike from the Glovers' Ryan Mason ensuring the points were shared at St James Park.

Tisdale is expected to make several changes to his side for the game at Carlisle.

Barry Corr and Dan Seaborne will both be available after returning from suspension and injury respectively.

But the Exeter boss refused to rule out the possibility of further player movement at St James Park.

He said: "You're always looking for new players, and even after 1 September you don't actually stop, because I'm also building for next years team.

"I'm continually looking, but will we bring anybody in, I don't know.

"It depends if the right player at the right price is available."
