Stewart agrees new deal at Exeter

Stewart has played for nine clubs in a career spanning 18 years

Exeter City striker Marcus Stewart has agreed a new one-year deal to stay at the club while five other players have been released.

Steve Basham, Jack Obersteller, Nick Jordan, Ronnie Bull and Fred Murray have all left St James Park after their contracts expired.

Stewart, 36, joined The Grecians on a free transfer from Yeovil in 2008 and has scored seven times this season.

The veteran, who started out at Bristol Rovers, has hit 249 career goals.
