Exeter City fans now have until 1200 BST on Thursday to purchase their tickets for Sunday's play off final against Cambridge United.
Fans of the Blue Square Premier team did have until 1700 BST on Wednesday 14 May to buy tickets, but the club say they have about 2,000 left to sell.
City have an allocation of 21,000 tickets for the final, the same as when they lost to Morecambe last year.
Tickets are on sale from the Ticketzone website only.
City will have sold less tickets than 12 months ago, but the overall attendance should be more than the 40,000 who saw last season's 2-1 defeat to Morecambe.
