Paul Buckle is starting a fourth spell at Exeter City after returning to St James's Park on a permanent basis as the club's new player-coach.
Buckle, who had a third brief playing spell with City after leaving Weymouth in December, has joined the Grecians on a two-year deal from Tiverton Town.
"He is coming onto the management staff," manager Alex Inglethorpe told the Exeter Express and Echo.
"His playing abilities on the field are something that are very important."
Former Torquay and Colchester midfielder Buckle has been working with Exeter's youth players this season and played four games without pay around Christmas.
