Anichebe and Coleman sign new Everton contracts

Everton duo Victor Anichebe and Seamus Coleman have both signed new four-and-a-half-year contracts.

Right-sided player Coleman, 22, has become a regular for the Toffees this season, scoring five goals.

Nigeria striker Anichebe, also 22, is back in the first-team frame following a pre-season knee injury.

He started the 2-2 draw against local rivals Liverpool last weekend and was instrumental in setting up the second Everton goal for Jermaine Beckford.

The versatile Anichebe's new contract ends speculation linking him with a move from the Everton, with his previous deal set to expire in the summer.

Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Coleman signed a new contract in May 2010 but his progress this term has been impressive enough to see him handed a new deal.

He has made 22 appearances so far this season, while Anichebe has had three starts and three substitute appearances.
