Everton boss David Moyes praised his side after their 0-0 draw with Manchester United, but was frustrated his side were not awarded a penalty.
Mikael Silvestre seemed to us his arm to nudge the ball away from Duncan Ferguson and Moyes said: "I thought it was a penalty kick. It was a handball.
"But I am proud of that performance. These boys are working really hard together and there is a great spirit.
"We have made a decent start to the season and have to maintain our form."
He added: "The players have worked really hard. We are trying to stick our chests out.
"It was a great team performance. We defended well, were well organised and
created a number of opportunities."
Moyes also felt his side were denied a spot-kick when Silvestre and Ferguson tussled in the area.
"There should have been another penalty when Duncan (Ferguson) was pushed," he insisted.
