MOYES' VIEW
|
Everton boss David Moyes admitted his side's defensive mistakes played a part in Arsenal's 4-1 win at Goodison Park.
"We were poor defensively," said Moyes after watching his side contribute to at least three of Arsenal's goals.
"I just hope it doesn't get any harder but I'm sure it will - my players just have to continue to give their best.
"This is probably the toughest job in the Premiership at the moment. It' s a great challenge and it's one that I'm ready to fight to get through it."
Everton's hopes of strengthening their squad before the transfer
deadline have been boosted by a £20m rescue package arranged by chairman
Bill Kenwright.
But Moyes is concerned it may now be too late to find the players he wants.
He added: "I don't know whether I will get any of the money but I will
try and do something with it.
"I'm just worried that we may have left it a bit late for us to do what we want to do. I will have to be careful where I spend it but we definitely need to improve."
