Gerrard is struggling with knee cartilage damage

Luckless Everton goalkeeper Paul Gerrard is to have knee surgery in a bid to clear up a cartilage problem.
He is thought to have picked up the injury in training.
Manager David Moyes told the club's official website: "Paul is in need of an operation on his knee - he's got a tear in his cartilage.
"He'd been on loan at Sheffield United and since he came back, just before Christmas, he's been fine, so he thinks he's damaged it in training."
Gerrard joined the Blades on a temporary basis back in August.
But this injury is the latest major setback to his career.
Just 13 months ago, another knee injury scuppered his intended move to Ipswich.
