Boss Williamson resigned - Elgin

Elgin City say Robbie Williamson resigned as manager because of recent poor results.

Williamson parted company with the Borough Briggs outfit before Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Berwick Rangers.

"His resignation comes after a string of defeats in the league and his team's exit from the Homecoming Scottish Cup," said a statement on Elgin's website.

Williamson's side are bottom of Division Three after just two wins from 15 games.

He had led Clachnacuddin to the Highland League and cup double two years before taking charge in 2007.

Williamson also played in midfield for Clach and Ross County.
