Fleet manager Daish makes no apology for weakened side

Ebbsfleet United

Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish made no apology for fielding a weakened side in Tuesday's 3-1 defeat by Maidstone.

Stones won the Kent Senior Cup tie 3-1 but Daish said: "My focus is on Saturday's match at Luton.

"It was a good work-out but we need to get points on the board. The last thing we need are injuries."

Maidstone joint-manager Lloyd Hume said: "We were worthy winners with a make-shift side containing players who do not play regularly."
