Ebbsfleet end striker's loan stay

Ebbsfleet have ended striker Elliot Charles' loan deal after his red card in Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Wrexham.

The resulting suspension meant Charles would not be available to play for Fleet again during the remainder of his spell at Stonebridge Road.

He has returned to parent club Barnet leaving Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish looking for a replacement.

The 19-year-old joined Fleet on a month's loan in October and played three times.

A club statement said: "Barnet could have insisted the player stay with us so should be commended for accepting his early return."
