Daish anger over training ground

Liam Daish
Daish says his players' preparation is hamstrung by poor facilities

The manager of struggling Ebbsfleet United, Liam Daish, has said their poor training ground is one of the factors behind their bad start to the season.

Daish's side, who have won just one of their first 15 games, switched training venues from Fleet Leisure to the AEI sports club in Gravesend in the summer.

"It's bad, it's tough, it's hard, it's concrete, and it's rutted," Daish told BBC Radio Kent.

"There's no real decent full-sized pitch to go through 11 against 11."

He added: "Even a training game is very hard to do.

"But it's something that we're going to try to address and it's a good job I've got an understanding groundsman in Peter Norton."

Ebbsfleet's goalless draw with Crawley at Stonebridge Road on Saturday left them third from bottom in the Blue Square Premier, and without a win at home so far this season.
