East Stirlingshire are searching for a new manager following the resignation of Gordon Wylde.
The Firs Park club have lost their last four league matches and sit eighth in the Division Three table.
However, there has been improvement since the club have finished bottom for five straight seasons and that has endangered their future in the SFL.
Assistant manager John Brownlie is to oversee the first team for Saturday's home tie with Stenhousemuir.
